With Tennis making headlines throughout Bermuda last week, it should set up the coverage of the Bermuda Lawn Tennis Association’s 2016 Fall Championships which got underway at the W.E.R. Joell Tennis Stadium.
Players will be vying for honors in A, B and C Divisions, took to the courts.
In Day One action, Sam Butler defeated youngster Scott Redmond in straight sets 6-0, 6-1 in their Men’s A Singles Group A match. In Men’s C Singles action Johnathan James came from a set down to defeat Aidon Williams-Charles 2-6, 6-4, 6-4.
Ashley Brooks won her Women’s A Singles opening match in straight sets 6-1, 6-1 over Kaila Harvey, while in Women’s B Singles Group B action Jahzuena Beadshaw-Douglas defeated Kirsten Beasley 6-1, 6-2.
