Don’t be confused with the current Bermuda Lawn Tennis Association Rankings, the Ladder Tournament is a Tournament in its self that sees players in different groups challenge each other in a bid to move up a group.
Gavin Manders defeated all three of his opponents in Group 1, he defeated David Thomas in a three setter 4-6, 6-1, 10-5, he then defeated Sam Butler in straight sets 6-2, 6-3, before defeating Jenson Bascome 6-4, 6-4.
Group 2 saw Michael Way defeat Michael Toyer in straight sets 6-1, 6-0, Way then defeated Yves Doyon, but he needed three sets to do so, winning 0-6, 6-4, 10-6.
Romar Douglas won his two matches in Group 3, he defeated Marcus Soeldner 6-1, 6-1, he then defeated Javon Whitter 7-6, 6-4. Whitter defeated Soeldner 6-1, 6-1, while Soeldner defeated Andrew Bonner 6-1, 7-6.
Michael Lindsay-Bailey came from a set down to defeat Damien Smith in their Group 4 Division match 0-6, 6-3, 10-7, Smith also lost another match going down in another three setter this time Phil Cooper won 6-0, 1-6, 10-7.
None of the players took up the challenge in Group 5, but Michael Skater won both his matches in Group 6, he defeated Chris Smith 6-4, 4-6, 11-9, he then defeated Peter Seely 6-7, 6-1, 10-4, Seely defeated Smith in straight sets 7-6, 6-2.
Group 7 saw Scott Redmond defeat Peter Ryan 6-4, 6-0, Redmond also defeated Charmaine Thomas 6-1, 6-2, Ryan would claim a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Thomas.
Paul York recorded two wins and a defeat in Group 8, he defeated Ryan Perry 6-1, 7-5, he then defeated Curtis Williams 6-2, 6-3, he did however go down 6-2, 4-6, 11-9 to Hugh Seymour, while Williams defeated Perry 6-3, 6-1.
Kim Burns won all three of her games in Group 10, Burns defeated Gaia Stemphlet in straight sets 6-0, 6-2, she defeated Jennifer Trian 6-0, 6-0 and then Burns defeated Natasha Butterfield 6-0, 6-1. Butterfield defeated Trian 6-2, 6-0 and Stemphlet defeated Trian 6-2, 6-1.
Kirstin Saltus defeated Kietny Chrun in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 in their Group 11 match, Peter Robey defeated Saltus 6-0, 6-4 in another match.
