Bermuda's Davis Cup team picked up their first win defeating Trinidad & Tobago on day four of the 2016 Davis Cup Americas Group III B Division.
The tie was decided in Doubles as both countries split the Singles. Bermuda sent Jenson Bascome and Gavin Manders to the court for the Doubles to face Tichard Chung and Luke De Caires, the Trinidad pair won the first set 6-2, but Manders and Bascome drew the tie level winning the second set 7-6, Manders and Bascome would then win the third and final set 6-4 to set up the victory for Bermuda.
Manders defeated Luke De Caires in straight sets 6-1, 6-0 in their Men’s Singles number 1 Position match, while David Thomas playing in the Men’s Singles number 2 Position match went down in straight sets 6-4, 6-1.
