The 2012 William Way Memorial Tennis Tournament continued at the WER Joell Tennis Stadium with five Men’s Singles, one Ladies Singles and a Men's 45 Doubles match played.
In Men’s Singles action, William Way needed three sets to defeat Hugh Seymour. Way won the first set 6-3, before Seymour won the second set 6-3 and then Way won the third and final set 6-4. Denis Thornhill defeated Connor Anderson in straight sets 6-4, 6-4, while Jack Keyes defeated Callum Smith in straight sets 6-1, 6-0, Chris Bardgett defeated Jeff Stirling in straight sets 6-1, 6-1 and Billy Boyle defeated Luke Stirling 6-1, 6-2.
Elizabeth Stewart won her Ladies Singles match in three sets 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 over Lindsay Fisher, while Stuart Smith and Brian Way defeated Earl Leader and Coleridge Place 6-3, 7-5 in their Men's 45 Doubles match.
