Cooper and Sewanee Go Down in 3rd Place Match

Birmingham Southern upended the Alex Cooper and his University of Sewanee Men’s Tennis Teammates 7-2 to capture third place at the SCAC Men's Tennis Championships.

After trailing 3-0 following the doubles competition, Sewanee were not able to rally during the singles play.

Only Rand Jackson and Cooper were able to prevail for Sewanee in their singles matches.

Cooper defeated Christian Matthews in straight sets 6-4, 7-6, meanwhile Cooper and his Doubles partner Rand Jackson went down 8 – 2 to Matthews and Michael Wilson.
