Cross and North Carolina A and T Go Down

Emotions were high as for Cayla Cross and her North Carolina A and T Women's Tennis teammates as they stepped on to the court for its last match of the 2011-2012 season.

This match was especially emotional for senior Azeib Nigatu. It was going to mark the last time she played tennis as a member of the North Carolina A and T Women's Tennis team.

Before the North Carolina A and T Women's Tennis team faced conference rival North Carolina Central University at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center, Nigatu was honored by her North Carolina A and T family.

Cross went down in her Singles match in straight sets 6-1, 6-2 to Cameron Chatman, Cross then teamed up with Nigatu for the Doubles and they went down 8 – 1 to Oleysa Palko and Chatman as North Carolina Central University walked away with a 5 – 2 victory.
