Delray Rawlins and his Sussex teammate’s season came to an end with a 45 run defeat to Lancashire, Rawlins’ Sussex captain Luke Wright won the toss and chose to bowl first in their Vitality Blast Quarter-Final match at The 1st Central County Ground.
Batting first Lancashire were restricted to 140/8 in their allotted 20 overs, Steven Croft was their top scorer with 41, while George Garton was the pick of the Sussex bowlers with figures of 4-0-28-3. Rawlins returned figures of 3-0-21-1.
In reply only captain Wright reached double figures as Sussex were bowled out for 95, Wright scored 36, while Rawlins was bowled for 6 off 14 balls in his 21-minute stay at the crease. Liam Livingstone was the pick of the Lancashire bowlers with figures of 3.2-0-23-4.
