Warwick Workman’s Club started the Bermuda Cricket Board 2020 First Division Season with a big win over the Devonshire Recreation Club at the Wellington Oval.

Batting first they scored 198/6 in their allotted 20 overs, captain Staphen Dill opened the inning and was the top scorer with 60, while Torleair Caines added 47 not out. Lovintz Tota was the pick of the Devonshire Recreation Club bowlers with figures of 4-1-16-2.

In reply not one of the Devonshire Recreation Club batsmen reached double figures as they were bowled out for 49. Denar Johnson was the top scorer with 9, while Tota added 8, Cory Burgess was the pick of the Warwick Workmen’s Club bowlers with figures of 4-2-2-4.

Southampton Rangers Won by 77 Runs

The Southampton Rangers got this Twenty20 Premier Division season off to a flying start with a 77 run victory over Bailey’s Bay at the Wellington Oval.

Batting first they scored 167/9, Charles Trott was the top scorer with 54, while player/coach Janeiro Tucker added 31, Kyle Hodsoll was the pick of the Bailey’s Bay bowlers with figures of 4-0-43-3.

In reply Bailey’s Bay only had two batsmen reach double figures as they were bowled all out for 91, opener Zeko Burgess was the top scorer with 27, while Hodsoll added 24, captain Malachi Jones was the pick of the Southampton Rangers bowlers with figures of 2.4-0-10-3, while Tayo Smith bowled 4-0-33-3.
