A century partnership between David Wiese and Delray Rawlins - who also recorded career-best first-class bowling figures earlier in the day - led a thrilling Sussex counter-attack on day two of their Specsavers County Championship match against Durham at The 1st Century County Championship.

Durham resumed their inning on 259/5, they batted another 33..1 overs scoring 123 runs being bowled all out for 384.

Opener Cameron Bancroft was the top scorer with 158, while Ned Eckersley added 118. Chris Jordan led the Sussex bowling attack returning figures of 26-7-58-4, Rawlins bowled 6-1-19-3.

In reply Sussex closed the day on 231/9 after 70 over, Rawlins is at the wicket on 56 not out, he shared a 109 run 8th wicket partnership with Wiese who was out for 56 as they took the score from 110/7 to 219/8.
