Delray Rawlins and his Sussex Seconds teammates took on Surrey’s Second team at the LSE Sportsground in their Second XI Trophy - South Group match.
Surrey Second’s won by 7 wickets in their rain effected match.
Batting first Sussex were bowled out for 205, Edward Taylor was the top scorer with 86, he and Edward Barnes shared a 112 run 7th wicket partnership to get Sussex out of a deep hole at 43/6. Rawlins was out for 9 after facing 26 deliveries. Ryan Patel led the Surrey bowlers with figures of 9-1-33-3.
In reply rain halted play on two occasions, with Surrey chasing a revised total of 156, they would score 157/3. Arun Harinath would score 59 to lead them to victory, Ed Barnes was the pick of the Sussex bowlers returning figures of 6.3-0-14-1, while Rawlins bowled 5-0-34-1.
