Bermuda - Argentina Update

IslandStats.com
Bermuda Win by 8 Wickets

Argentina 99 Bermuda 100/2 - 203/4

Bermuda have entered their final match in Argentina as they are taking on the host in a 50 over match, after 32.3 overs Argentina were bowled out for 99. Ramiro Escobar was the top scorer with 28, Kwasi James was the pick of the Bermuda bowlers with figures of 8-2-15-3, while Jacobi Robinson bowled 10-2-28-3.

In reply Bermuda reached 100/2, but they used the opportunity to get in some extra batting practice as this like the Cayman Islands 50 overs match was just that - practice matches. The teams made an agreement for Bermuda to bat to 200 and Bermuda scored 203/4.

When Bermuda reached the 100/2 Charles Trott was at the wicket 46 not out and Steven Bremar was 20 not out.

In the end Trott was out for 68, Bremar was out for 28, while Macai Simmons was 40 not out and Terryn Fray was 32 not out.

National Coach Clay Smith said this about the tour, "Overall, I thought we had a very successful tour especially for a team that has not been outside at all until we got to Argentina. I thought we acquitted ourselves quite well. The Cayman Islands gave a us a good challenge but being victorious in the T20 and winning both our 50 over games has really boosted the players confidence and now it is about putting in six weeks of hard work as we prepare for Malaysia."
