Bermuda will be playing in Argentina in February 2018 in the ICC sub-regional Qualifier from February 25th to March 4th against Argentina, Cayman and Suriname.
The top two countries from this tournament will advance to the Regional Finals, expected to be in 2019. Bermuda is also playing in the 50 overs World Cricket League Division 4 in Malaysia in April. The World Cricket League Division 4 will run from April 26th to May 4th in a 6-team competition with the top two being promoted to World Cricket League Division 3.
Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) President, Lloyd Smith said, “The BCB has a very important 4-month period ahead of us for the national senior squad, with two ICC tournaments following each other in quick succession. The goal of the BCB is for promotion in both competitions, and an exacting preparation plan is in place to provide a platform for the players to be successful. The BCB has continued its policy of extending the net for players interested in representing the country, with 41 players having been invited to train. I encourage all players and clubs, their families and our community to get fully behind and commit to the programme to provide the best chance of Bermuda being successful in the upcoming months.”
