Rawlins & Sussex Win - BCB Players of the Week

Delray Rawlins and his Sussex Seconds teammates defeated Middlesex Seconds by 24 runs.

Middlesex won the toss and sent Sussex to bat, they scored 188 all out in their first inning and then they scored 295/7 in their second inning, while Middlesex were bowled out for 177 in their first inning and then went from 150/1 to all out for 282.

Rawlins opening the inning again was out for 26 off 30 deliveries hitting 3 fours and 1 six as Sussex went in search of quick runs, Tom Hains was the top scorer with 105, Middlesex fell short of their target with Max holden their top scorer with a knock of 76, Abidine Sakande was the pick of the Sussex bowlers with figures of 14-2-55 -4, while Rawlins bowled 7-0-57-1.

Players of the Week


One Communications and the BCB are pleased to announce that the One Communications First Division ‘Player of the Week’ (for week 12) is Cory Burgess of PHC.

In the match against Warwick Workmen's Club, Burgess ripped out the heart of the opposition batting with a spell of 5 overs taking 5 wickets for 11 runs. This performance restricted Warwick to only 101 runs allowing his team to comfortably win by 4 wickets.

The One Communications First Division ‘Player of the Week’ (for week 13) is Dajon Carey of Flatt’s Victoria. In the must win game for Flatts against Devonshire Recreation Club.

Carey opened the batting scoring 97 runs off 104 balls including 10 4’s. This innings provided the foundation to allow his team to successfully chase the 213-run target in 43 overs. This performance was critical to keeping Flatts in the driver’s seat for the possibility of promotion via the Play-off match
