Delray Rawlins and his England Under 19 teammates were denied a victory by a stubborn 92 not out by India’s Suresh Lokeshwar as the two teams played to a draw on the Final Day of their 4 day Youth Test Match.
Rawlins and his teammates started the day 23/1, but were bowled out for 167, with Rawlins moving down the order batting at number five, he was out trapped LBW for 15. George Bartlett was the top scorer with 68, while Sijomon Joseph tore through the England lineup returning figures of 20-5-62-6.
At stumps India Under-19s reached 189/8, with Lokeshwar helping to recover from 61/6 to make it to the end. Henry Brookes led the England bowlers with figures of 14-3-56-3, while Rawlins bowled 2-0-7-0.
