Www.islandstats.com can confirm that Bermuda International Cricketer Delray Rawlins has been offered a Junior Pro contract by Sussex.
Although both parties are still working on outstanding issues we can confirm that the contract will be for one year.
Rawlins speaking to www.islandstats.com said, "The journey has been quite tough, however with the people around me I've always tried to find a way to get over certain obstacles."
Rawlins was asked, what he would need to work on to become a regular in the team, "Consistency would be an area of improvement, putting a few performances together could see me in the mix for first team selection."
Commenting on if he considers himself as an all rounder Rawlins said, "Yeah I feel in the one day arena I can be and all rounder, however in the red ball arena there is still more development to do with my bowling to improve that skill."
He concluded with comments about his recent century, "Yeah was really pleasing to score that century. In the uk obviously there are a bit more for the bowler however trying to keep the basics in mind and sticking to my processes it's a bit easier to adapt to different conditions."
