Leverock & Somerset Continue Glamorgan Battle
Kamau Leverock and his Somerset 2nd XI continued taking on a Glamorgan 2nd XI in a 2nd XI 3-day match at Taunton Vale.
On Day One Glamorgan 2nd XI won toss and decided to bat, at the end of the day they scored 358/6 after 104 overs, they declared their inning at the close of play.
On Day Two Leverock and his Somerset teammates were bowled out for 202 after 58.5 overs, Leverock scored 26 runs batting in the number 8 spot, he faced 27 balls hitting 2 fours and 2 sixes in his knock.
Glamorgan went back to bat going on to score 162/2 in 35 overs to take a lead of 316 runs, at the close of play Leverock returned figures of 6-3-21-0.
Bermuda Cricket Players of the Week
Logic and the Bermuda Cricket Board announced that the Logic Premier Division ‘Player of the Week’ is Brian Hall of Western Stars. Hall played an outstanding all-round role for his team as they inflicted the first defeat of the year on St. David’s Cricket Club. Hall took 4 wickets and scored 71 runs in a game that was won by Western Stars off the last ball of the match.

The Logic First Division ‘Player of the Week’ is Jordan DeSilva of Somerset. DeSilva scored consecutive centuries last weekend, 120 against Somerset Bridge and 102 not out against PHC. Both centuries led to comprehensive wins for Somerset which has put them in pole position for promotion to the Logic Premier League in 2017.

ICC Americas
Nzari Paynter and Chare Smith played in the ICC Americas Team that went down by 7 wickets to Barbados during the West Indies One Day Regional Under 19 Tournament.
In a match played at the Arnos Vale Playing Field, ICC Americas won the toss and went to bat, they were bowled out for 203, Paynter batting in the number 7 position as out without scoring off 3 deliveries, while Smith was not out for 1 off 5 deliveries.
Smith opened the bowling returning figures of 9-0-47-1 as Barbados scored 204/3 in 45.4 overs, he claimed the wicket of Barbados opener Shian Brathwaite for 12, while Paynter bowled 3-0-23-0.
