The time for answers is now, before Cricket moves forward now is the time to stop and have questions answered, over the last few years, www.islandstats.com has informed the Bermuda public of the uneven playing field in the Associates World of Cricket.
Many in Bermuda know that Bermuda has representation on the ICC Board in the Bermuda Cricket Board’s CEO, however it would appear on the surface that our voice is not heard around the table.
We have seen over the last few months that the ICC is working hard to get into the USA Market, they are funding so many programmes in the Country that even higher ranked countries are asking what is going on?
Who is holding anyone accountable for not standing up for the Bermuda players or is the Bermuda voice at the table silenced, people are asking questions.
We have heard nothing from the board with regard to the fact that the ICC has created an unfair financial advantage for all the other competitors who are taking part in Division 4 including Bermuda.
Before the Bermuda National squad and Under 17 National players are asked to anything else questions of fairness and accountability as far as equal opportunity needs to be answered by the Board and ICC Americas.
With so many issues coming out publicly this things need to be addressed so that the Bermuda players are not subjected like they were to the leading paragraph of a story a few years ago that called them dimwitted, unintelligent, brainless, stupid, lazy and stubborn.
Another question people should be asking the Bermuda Cricket Board would be how much money has the ICC put into Bermuda and Canada, how much money has the ICC put in USA for their 30-man squad heading to Florida at the end of July for a week-long camp to help narrow down the list to a final 14 ahead of Division Four and their Under-17 squad for a tri-series against Bermuda and Canada in Houston from July 14th to 19th.
