Kamau Leverock and his Newport Cricket Club Wales XI teammates traveled to Newbridge Fields, Bridgend to take on Bridgend Town Cricket Club in a South Wales Premier Division One 1st XI League.
Bridgend Town won the toss and elected to field, with Newport scoring 228/6 in their 50 overs, Leverock batting in the number 6 position scored 12 not out off 18 deliveries, hitting just 1 four.
In reply Bridgend Town could only manage 200/7 in their 50 overs with Newport winning by 28 runs. Leverock returned bowling figures of 6-0-21-1.
