Kamau Leverock and his Newport Cricket Club 1st XI teammates went down in a losing draw to the Cardiff Cricket Club 1st XI in their South Wales Premier Division One 1st XI match at the Newport Cricket Grounds.
Cardiff won the toss and elected to bat, they were bowled out for 200 in 48.2 overs, in reply Leverock and his teammates scored 157/9 in 47 overs.
Cardiff earned 9 game points, 4 batting points and 4 bowling points for a total of 17 points, while Newport got 1 game point, 2 batting points and 5 bowling points for a total of 8 points.
During the Newport Inning, Leverock scored 10 runs off 18 deliveries, hitting just 1 four.
