Captain of the Southampton Rangers Janeiro Tucker was charged with a breach of the Bermuda Cricket Board Code of Conduct , Article 2.1.2, Abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings; for an incident during the game between Southampton Rangers SC and St. David’s Cricket Club on Saturday May 14th, 2016.
Tucker pleaded guilty and has accepted a one game suspension. Based on the current schedule, Tucker would be eligible to play again on May 23rd.
The 2.1.2 code for the ICC is a Level 1 Offence, which according to the ICC the punishments range from.
FIRST OFFENCE Warning/reprimand and/or the imposition of a fine of up to 50% of the applicable Match Fee
SECOND OFFENCE WITHIN 12 MONTHS The imposition of a fine of between 50-100% of the applicable Match Fee and/or up to two (2) Suspension Points
THIRD OFFENCE WITHIN 12 MONTHS The imposition of between two (2) and eight (8) Suspension Points
FOURTH AND SUBSEQUENT OFFENCES WITHIN 12 MONTHS The imposition of eight (8) Suspension Points or a suspension for a fixed period of time ranging between the equivalent of eight (8) Suspension Points and one (1) year.
