Kamau Leverock and his Cardiff MCCU teammates resumed their first inning on day two of their three day English MCC University Match against the Somerset County team that featured former England player Marcus Trescothick at Taunton.
Continuing their inning this morning Cardiff MCCU were 32/4, they were bowled all out for 118 to trail Somerset by 252 runs,
Leverock batting at the number 8 position was the third top scorer with 26, Leverock faced 54 deliveries in his 67 minute stay at the crease. Leverock hit 3 four’s and 1 six in his inning at a strike rate of 48.15.
In their second inning Somerset reached 259/3 in 57 overs when stumps were drawn for the day, they now lead Cardiff MCCU by 511 runs with 7 wickets remaining. Trescothick retired on 100, Leverock returned figures of 11-2-50-1.
