Leverock in Action IslandStats.com The ICC held Phase 2 of the ICC Americas Combine to select a team to participate in the WICB NAGICO Super50. A week has since passed and the Americas Team has not been selected.
Reliable sources have said that USACA is refusing to release it’s National Players to the WICB. Most of the final 26 players that are up for selection after the Combine are USA national players.
As of now there is a standstill as USACA has not met as a board to discuss the matter as well as other pressing events.
Although we are yet to hear anything from Phase 2 of the ICC Americas Combine, www.islandstats.com can confirm that the squad was trimmed down from 33 to 26 names, with only Kamau Leverock the only Bermuda player to advance.
The final 15-man squad will soon be announced to see who will represent the ICC Americas in the WICB Nagico Super50.
On the final day of the Combine the players played a 13 vs. 13 match, with Leverock team scoring 270/9 in 50 overs Leverock batting at number 7 scored runs off deliveries, hitting 1 four and 1 six.
Leverock and his teammates then bowled the opponents out for 108 in 32.1 overs, Leverock finished with figures of 4-1-13-1.
His wicket came when he caught and bowled Shiva Vashishat for 2.
