The Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) and Chivas Regal, the leader in quality blended scotch, announced the winner of the weekly Chivas Cricket Sportsman Award (CCSA) for week 11 is Kevon Fubler of Willow Cuts.
In the BCB Logic 50 overs Premier Division Willow Cuts, Cleveland County, Somerset Cricket Club and Flatt’s Victoria are engaged in a critical battle for points to avoid relegation. On Sunday August 23rd, Willow Cuts took on Cleveland County in an important head to head battle at the Somerset Cricket Club.
During the game, Willow Cuts all-rounder Kevon Fubler was bowling, when the Cleveland County batsman Aaron Adams walked out of his crease while backing up at the non-strikers end.
Under the strict interpretation of the laws of Cricket Fubler could have run out Adams, however in an act reflecting the true spirit of the game and sportsmanship Fubler warned the batsman about leaving the crease too early.
For his commitment to the spirit of cricket, Kevon Fubler has been selected as the Chivas Sportsman of the week, making the Chivas presentation was Chelsea Todd, Goslings Marketing Representative.
