At Lord’s in St. David’s, Bermuda’s Under 19 National team shocked many Bermudians when they came away with a 1 wicket victory over the United States of America.
Needing a win to remain with a chance of advancing, Bermuda bowled the United States of America out for 109 when they batted first, Yadunandan Polisetty was the top scorer with 31, but it was Bermuda’s bowling pair of Charles Trott and Chare Smith who tore through the batting. Smith finished with figures of 9-1-27-5, while Trott bowled 10-1-30-5.
In reply Bermuda made it closer than they needed to, but in the end they got the all-important win scoring 110/9. Trott was the teams top scorer scoring 18 not out, while Shakeal Outerbridge added 17, Keifer Phill was the pick of the United States of America bowlers with figures of 10-1-46-6.
