Kamau Leverock and Terryn Fray helped Newport Cricket Club 1st XI defeat Cardiff Cricket Club 1st XI in their South Wales Premier Division One 1st XI match.
Cardiff won the toss and elected to bat they scored 244/8 in their allotted 50 overs, with Leverock returning figures of 10-0-43-2.
In reply Newport scored 247/6 in 49.1 overs, Fray batting in the number 3 spot scored 21 runs from 41 deliveries hitting 1 four, while Leverock scored 24 runs not out from 12 balls to see his team to victory. Leverock hit 2 fours and 1 six in his inning.
