All-rounder Rizwan Cheema will lead Canada at the Pepsi ICC Americas Division One Twenty20 Tournament in Indianapolis from May 3rd – 10th, while Hamza Tariq will be his deputy.
Along with Canada the tournament will feature Bermuda, Surinam and USA. The top two teams will advance to the 2015 ICC World T20 Qualifier to be held in Ireland and Scotland from July 3rd – 26th, 2015.
Prior to the Indianapolis tournament, the team will travel to Houston, Texas for training and also to play three T20 matches against an invitational XI which will include international players.
Some players who were considered for selection to the Canada squad were unavailable due to work commitments.
