The Bermuda Cricket Board announced that National Coach Arnold Manders is unable to travel to ICC World Cricket League 3 with the Bermuda squad later this month due to health issues.
He will be replaced for this tournament by Allan Douglas.
Bermuda Cricket Board President, Lloyd Fray, said, “It is a very disappointing and unfortunate that we have had to make a change at this juncture after Manders has been working with the squad in their preparation for this competition. The Bermuda Cricket Board will never take risks with people’s health and we totally support Manders’ need to overcome his current condition. Fortunately, the Bermuda Cricket Board is able to utilize a very experienced and highly qualified coach to provide the support that the players need to be successful. Manders will be working with Douglas, Lorenzo Tucker and Janeiro Tucker to ensure that there is a smooth transition of responsibility. I urge all the players and support staff to leave no stone unturned to gain promotion to World Cricket League 2 for our country and for Manders.”
