The Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) announced that Delray Rawlins has been selected to the Bede’s Emerging Talent Programme (ETP).
The Bedes ETP is open for athletes competing at a minimum of County and/or Academy Level. The ETP only accepts athletes who are set for a career playing professional sport and players have to maintain a high academic standard to remain in the programme.
In addition, Rawlins will have the benefit of extra classes including specialist cricket and fitness, strength and conditioning training, nutrition and access to a sport psychologist.
BCB President, Lloyd Fray said, “On behalf of the Board I would like congratulate Delray on this excellent achievement. To be selected to this program after only starting at Bedes in September is a testament to his talent, character and dedication to cricket. We wish Delray the best of luck this term and look forward to seeing how he progresses with this outstanding opportunity.”
Bede's Emerging Talent Programme Director of Cricket Alan Wells said, “The best thing about my job is seeing a student I'm coaching smile because they have achieved something new, improved or had a breakthrough. It gives me a huge buzz.”
