Bailey’s Bay and Somerset Cricket Club Cup match player Terryn Fray and Somerset Cricket Club League and Cup Match player Greg Maybury suited up for Newport Cricket Club, taking on Mumbles Cricket Club.
Newport won the toss and elected to bowl, they bowled Mumbles all out for 207 in 39 overs, Maybury the third bowler used finished with figures of 8-1-29-1.
In reply Fray and Michael Clayden had an opening stand of 115, before Clyden fell for 59, seven runs later Fray was out after scoring 49 off 75 deliveries, from there things went down hill, as Newport could only manage 182/8 in their allotted 39 overs. Maybury did no bat as Mumbles won by 29 Runs.
