Worthing CC - 1st XI 183/9 Horsham CC – 1st XI 184/5
Kamau Leverock and his Horsham Cricket Club 1st XI teammates began their season with a Friendly match against Worthing Cricket Club.
Matthew Green was the Worthing CC top scorer with 63 runs, while Benn Challen added 47 as they scored 183/9 in their allotted 40 overs. Leverock returned bowling figures of 6-0-22-0, Leverock held on to a catch to dismiss Challen.
In reply Horsham CC scored 184/5 in 34.4 overs, Leverock batting at number five scored 13 runs off 8 deliveries, Leverock hit 1 Six and 1 Four in his knock, openers Ben Shoare and Elliott Cloy were the top scorers with 64 and 59 not out respectively. Leverock was the third wicket to fall with the score on 160.
