The 2012 Annual Cup Match Classic did not start on time as a heavy rain shower has force the ground staff to put the covers on the wicket. Challengers Somerset won the toss and sent the Champions St. George’s Cricket Club to bat. Former Somerset captain Janeiro Tucker has been a thorn in the St. George’s Cricket Club side as he came on the ball and claimed vital wickets, he has figures of 10-0-22-4, while Derek Brangman has figures of 12-0-43-2 the only other Somerset Cricket Club bowler to grab a wicket is Jacobi Robinson who has figures of 16-3-62-1.

At the close of play Somerset Cricket Club reached 100/2, Chris Douglas was out for 33, while Stephen Outerbridge was stumped for 24, Terryn Fray is at the wicket on 26 not out, while night watchman Greg Maybury is 5 not out. The two successful St. George’s Cricket Club bowlers so far are Rodney Trott who has figure of 4.0-0-11-1 and Kyle Hodsoll who bowled 4.0-0-16-1.
