Bailey’s Bay won the toss and elected to field at the Sea Breeze Oval in the first Round of the Eastern County Cup competition 2012, Flatt’s Victoria found themselves in trouble at 44/3 when Ronald Gibbons joined Regino Smith at the wicket the pair put on 43 runs, before Gibbon departed, this brought captain Kijuan Franks to the wicket to join Smith, the partnership was worth 160 as Smith scored 144 and Franks scored 60. Flatt’s Victoria were bowled all out for 294, Lateef Trott was the pick of the Bailey’s Bay bowlers with figures of 12-1-37-6, which included Trott claiming four wickets in four balls.

In reply Bailey’s Bay was also in a hole at 81/4, but captain Stephen Outerbridge and Rodney Trott steadied the ship taking the score to 209 before Trott was out for 39 off 110 balls, Outerbridge scored 98 off 157 deliveries. Opener Glenn Blakeney scored 45 off 38 balls as Bailey’s Bay scored 239/6 when the stumps were pulled. Vernon Eve claimed the first four wickets returned figures of 19-6-30-4 for Flatt’s Victoria.
