The Bermuda Under 17 Squad took on Reading Rage in a training match that saw the side play 3 thirty minute periods.
Bermuda started slowly but gradually came into the match. Bermuda went ahead on a goal from Kashai Davis. A cross on the left from Quadir Maynard, was put into the net by Davis.
The Reading Rage had 2 good goal scoring opportunities by were denied twice by keeper Corey Richardson.
At the end of the 2nd period Bermuda still held a 1 – 0 lead. Bermuda made 7 changes at the half, and were pinned in their own half for the first 10 minutes of the 2nd period. After having absorbed the pressure, Bermuda took control by having no less then 5 to 6 touches at a time. Coach Ray Jones was looking to make some more changes for the final 30 minutes.
With the match evenly balanced in the 3rd and final period the Rage equalize in the 84th minute to make it 1-1. A lapse of concentration by substitute keeper Shunte Evans allowed the rebound fall to the feet of the Rage striker, who had a simple tap in to draw level. Bermuda have put on a good performance and will play the Readings Under 17's on Friday
