The sound of leather on willow is set to return to the island this weekend as the 2025 Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) season is scheduled to get underway with First Division action at two familiar venues.
While an official schedule from the Bermuda Cricket Board is still awaited, www.islandstats.com understands that the opening weekend will feature Twenty20 matches hosted at the Somerset Cricket Club and Lord’s in St. David’s.
Cricket enthusiasts will have the opportunity to enjoy a double header of T20 action at the Somerset Cricket Club on Sunday, April 27th. The day’s proceedings will kick off at 10:30 am with a clash between Western Stars and Willow Cuts, promising an early taste of the season’s rivalries. The afternoon fixture at Somerset will see Warwick Workmen's Club take on PHC, with the first ball scheduled for 2:30 pm.
Meanwhile, Lord’s in St. David’s will also host a First Division T20 encounter on Sunday, with Flatt’s Victoria set to face off against the Southampton Rangers. That match is also scheduled to begin at 2:30 pm.
