Kamau Leverock had a day to remember in the Southern Premier Cricket League - Division 1, as he led Horsham Cricket Club 1st XI to a 71 run victory over Brighton & Hove Cricket Club 1st XI.
Brighton & Hove won the toss and decided to bowl with Horsham scoring 214/9 in 58 overs, Leverock scored 15 of those runs, he faced 17 balls and hit 3 fours.
It was during the Brighton & Hove inning that Leverock would shine as he shared the new ball with Stuart Whittingham, Leverock finished with figures of 11.4-3-34-5 as Brighton & Hove were bowled all out for 143.
Leverock had opener Guy Williamson caught by Sam Attfield without scoring and the total on 7, he then trapped Timothy Jarvis LBW with the very next delivery as Brighton & Hove were 7/2. With the score now 28/3 Leverock bowled Christopher Atherton for 3, Leverock would later return and with the score on 104/7 he would bowl Alex Marsh without scoring, he would then have the Brighton & Hove top scorer Michael Rippon caught for 91 to end the game.
