While Bermuda’s media continue to ignore Bermuda’s Lone Professional Squash player one would strongly bet that they make a big deal out of tonight’s exhibition matches at the Bermuda Squash Racquets Association Club.
Opening up the Exhibition Event on the night was world number 10 Kasey Brown and world number 23 Aisling Blake. The 10th ranked player Brown defeated Blake in four sets, Blake won the first set 11-9, but Brown took control from there and won the next three sets 11-4, 11-9, 11-8.
This was followed by John White who defeated former World number one ranked player Peter Nicol in a five setter that delighted the crowd. White won the first set 12-10, but Nicol would fight back to win the second set 11-6, White would go back in front after winning the third set 11-9, but yet again Nicol would fight back and win the fourth set 11-6 to make the score 2 – 2. White would then win the fifth and final set 11-9.
Meanwhile the AXIS Team Challenge would conclude with the Muppets Team of Noah Browne, Korin Knights and Chris Stout emerging as champions after they defeated The Good, The Bad & The Ugly 2 – 1.
