The Bermuda School Sports Federation announced the 28th Annual Denton Hurdle Memorial Awards Winners.
The awards honoring the late Warwick Academy Physical Education Teacher, highlights Bermuda's finest student athletes.
The Primary School Girls Award went to Destani Warner from West Pembroke Primary, while Honorable Mentions went to Kanzi Emery from Francis Patton Primary and Druw Bascome from St. David’s Primary.
Yusef Bushara from Somersfield Academy and Ricky Mallory from Mount Saint Agnes Academy received Honorable Mentions for the Primary School Boy’s, while the Primary School Boy’s Award for the first time will be shared as Robert Thomas from the Harrington Sound Primary
and Samuel Darrell from Purvis Primary both received top marks.
Leah Smith from the Somersfield Academy was awarded the Middle School Girls Award, with Ember Butterfield from the Sandys Secondary Middle School receiving an Honorable mention.
Ahria Simons from T.N.Tatem Middle School came away with the top Honor for the Middle School Boy’s with Matteo Turner from Dellwood Middle School received the Honorable Mention.
In the Senior School Girls category, Honorable Mention went to Kirstin Saltus from Warwick Academy, while Latonia Fray from the Saltus Grammar School received the top Honor.
Chas Smith from the Warwick Academy was the Senior School Boy’s Award Winner with Mark Godfrey from the Saltus Grammar School receiving the Honorable Mention.
Robert Thomas from the Harrington Sound Primary
