The 2013 Deloitte Open Tennis Tournament continued at the Pomander Gate Tennis Club with the Eighth Day of competition, the highlight of the day being the Mixed Doubles Final.
The Final featured Jacklyn Lambert and her partner David Thomas against Erika Bove and her partner Andrew Young. Lambert was back on the court 24 hours after winning the Ladies A Singles title, and her and her partner Thomas made sure she would capture a second title when they won in straight sets 7-6, 6-3.
Courtland Boyle came from behind to defeat Romar Douglas in their men’s A Singles Consolation Semi-Final, Douglas won the first set 6-3, but Boyle who was down 4-3 in the second set would fight back to win the next three games and take the set 6 – 3. In the third set tie-breaker Boyle would take the win 10 – 9.
