Gavin Manders defeated David Thomas in the 2013 Deloitte Open Men’s A Singles Final in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.
The pair battled hitting forehand after forehand and backhand after backhand.
Manders won the first set 6 – 3 after breaking Thomas twice, the second break earned him the set.
In the second set Manders held his serve to start the second set, before Thomas held his serve to level the set at 1 – 1. Thomas then broke Manders before holding serve to take a 3 – 1 lead, but from there Manders would win the next five sets only losing once to lift the title.
