The England C Team kicked this historic game off at the National Sports Center.
England C settled very quickly opening up the Bermuda team from the kick-off, playing the ball from one side to the other, with the Bermuda team struggling to keep possession when they did get the ball, England C made them pay in the 5th minute when Antoni Sarcevic got on the inside of his marker and beat the Bermuda goalkeeper Stefan Dill to his right giving them a 1 – 0 lead.
Bermuda continued to struggle getting the ball in the England C half, as Jonte Smith was all alone at times.
In the 21st minute England C doubled their lead, when Damon Ming committed a foul in the box that resulted in a penalty kick that was converted by Marlon Jackson.
Bermuda got on the score sheet in the 40th minute when captain John Barry Nusum was the first to react to a have from the England C captain and goalkeeper Preston Edwards.
In the 53rd minute James Norwood got on the end of a cross and headed the ball pass a stranded Dill in goal for Bermuda as the England C team went up 3 – 1. In the 70th minute Norwood then beat the off side trap and calmly slipped the ball pass the advancing goalkeeper to give England C a 4 – 1 lead.
England C were award their second penalty of the game in the 80th minute as Norwood stepped up and completed his hat-trick making the score 5 – 1.
The final goal of the game came in the 87th minute when Andre Gray scored from close range as the England C team ran out 6 – 1 winners.
