BASA Confirm New Records

Following the Schroders Summer Age Championships the Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association have announced that a total of 27 Short Course records were broken over the 4 day meet.

Today we bring you the new records of the 8 and Under Boys and the Girls 11 and 12 Age Group Record Holders

8 and Under Boys

Finn Moseley set a new 200 meters Backstroke record of 3:34.62, breaking his own record of 4:14.30 set on May 5th, 2012, Moseley then broke the 200 meters Backstroke record time when he clocked 3:32.76.

Girls 11 and 12

Emma Harvey broke her own 100m Individual Medley record of 1:14.64 when she was clocked at 1:14.26, she then clocked 31:14 during the 50m Butterfly, breaking Ashley Yearwood’s record of 31.30 set on June 22nd, 2007. Harvey next set a new 100m Butterfly record touching the wall in a time of 1:12.69, breaking Ashley Yearwood’s record of 1:13.63 set on December 1st, 2007 and then went lower in the final clocking 1:11.61.

Madelyn Moore set her final record at the Age Group in the 50m Backstroke clocking 0:30.76, breaking her own record of 0:32.93 set on February 23rd, 2013

A new 4x50m Freestyle Relay record was set by Harvey, Lynsey Palmer, Alyssa Paynter and Ashley Irby clocking 2:06.65, breaking the record of 2:08.01 set by Paynter, Sophie Clare, Harvey and Irby set on March 16th, 2013.
