Micah Franklin is now in beautiful Perth, the second city of his 2013 Australia Tour. Franklin after going down in a five setter in his first match of the tour was now playing the 2013 City of Perth International Squash Challenge.
Franklin was up against the Australian Number One Junior player Rhys Dowling and he went down in straight sets 11-8, 11-5, 11-5. Franklin said, “It was a match for me to forget! I never got stuck in on the court against an unorthodox player, and struggled to find my length or any game plan at all.”
Franklin continued, “Took me a long time to get over it but I’m moving forward now and not looking back. I still have 3 more tournaments left here in Australia and I need to try and stay confident and work on these aspects of my game.”
Franklin concluded, “I’m going to enjoy a few more days here in this gorgeous city and clear my head before traveling to my next event in Kalgoorlie.”
