Southampton Rangers Sports Club plan to honor Ed Sherlock in the 24th of May road race this year.
Southampton Rangers have entered a total of 10 runners for this year’s event, with the star feature of the team being six (6) time Derby Champion, Sherlock himself.
At the age of 81, the Black Stallion will be gracing the roads for another 24th of May Derby.
Southampton Rangers supplied kits for each of the runners that have “Honoring Ed Sherlock” scrolled across their backs.
Club President, Gerri Saltus said, “As long as I can remember Mr. Sherlock has been a staple of the Southampton Rangers family. So to acknowledge his running accomplishments and his contributions as an elder statesman of Southampton, we decided to do this for him. Camp Hill plans to come alive every time a blue jersey comes running through.”
