Stephen Dickinson continued his winning way picking up the 2013 Flag Pole to Flag Pole title.
Dickinson and his crew Pat Young battle hard from start which was in line with the Hamilton Flag Pole to finish eventually pulling away from the Fleet to win by more than 15 minutes in line with the Flag Pole in the St. George’s Harbor.
At the start Heath Foggo who was making a return to the class ironically he had Dickinson’s former crew Wesley Tucker in his boat, made a break initially after Rockal Evans and his crew Christine Barnard went to the front at the start line, however Evans’ lead was gone before they reached the RBYC dock.
Dickinson took the lead near the Spanish Point Boat Club where the field thinned out,, Dickinson, Evans and Gladwin Lambert and his crew Lorenzo Lambert fought all the way down to ferry Reach, where Dickinson’s knowledge of the area took over and he was able to put some distance between himself and the other two.
Evans was less than five minutes behind Dickinson entering the Town Cut Channel but struggled in there and Dickinson was able to sail away and claim the title, with Evans second and Lambert finished third.
Five boats did not finish the race having to be towed in, Foggo had a issue with his boat, while others succumb to the winds and wether.
