The World Distributors Charity Squash Tournament continued at the Bermuda Squash Racquets Association Club.
Runa Reta came close to advancing to two finals, she had earlier qualified for the Ladies Final after defeating Susie Lacey in straight sets 11-5, 11-7, 11-6, she then took on Thomas Sherratt in the Men’s A Division Semi-Final.
Sherratt won the first set 11-8, but Reta won the second set by the same score, Sherratt fought hard to win the third set 12-10, before Reta won the fourth set 11-8.
The match would be decided in a fifth and final set, with the game locked at 9 – 9 Reta broke a string having to change racquet which also broke her rhythm and Sherratt was able to close out the match winning 12-10.
Sherratt will meet Patrick Foster in the Men’s A Division Final after Foster defeated Anthony Fellowes in straight sets 11-5, 11-8, 11-2, while Reta will meet Liz martin in the Ladies A Division Final after Martin defeated Juliette Ferarri-McComb in a four set battle 7-11, 11-6, 11-5, 11-7.
