Tyler Smith began taking part in the Delray Beach ITF Junior Tennis Event at the Delray Swim and Tennis Club in Florida.
Smith went down in straight sets in her Singles match 6-3, 6-4 to Michaela Gordon from the United States of America.
Smith then teamed up with American Stephanie Nemtsova and they needed three sets to defeat their American opponents Taylor Shukow and Anna Wierda.
Shukow and Wierda won the first set 6-3, but Smith and Nemtsova won the second set 6-1. Smith and Nemtsova won the third set battle winning 11-9 to advance.
