Bermuda riders will be competing in the Caribbean Equestrian Association’s 2013 Mini Dressage Challenge on Saturday May 18th, beginning at 9am, at the National Equestrian Center, Vesey Street.
Bermuda will be the second country to compete this year. Other competing countries are Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago.
Bermuda won the Adult competition last year, and was second in the Children’s competition. This competition comes not long after the FEI’s (International Equestrian Federation) World Dressage Challenge competition at the end of February when Bermuda competed against its Caribbean compatriots and came out on top, so morale is high and it is hoped that our Bermuda team can win once again. Dawn Fox, Michelle Ingham and Ashley Gibbs, team riders victorious in last year’s seniors CEA competition, will again be pitting their skills for 2013. Junior team member last year Zoe Oleksak will also be riding in this year’s competition. Team members for 2013 will not be known until competition day.
