Lejaun Simmons helped to guide Ilkeston FC Reserves lift the Central Conference Cup at the New Manor Ground.
Simmons scored twice as Ilkeston FC defeated Bromsgrove Sporting 8 – 1.
Bromsgrove hit back immediately to equalize after Keiran O'Connell had scored in the second minute - finishing off a near-20 pass move - it then became just a question of how many the Robins would score.
Goals from Jake Holt, Simmons, Mike Williams, Luke Shaw and Akil Wright made it 6-1 by half time, then Williams converted a penalty after Simmons had been brought down, and Simmons rounded of the scoring.
But for a string of fine saves by the goalkeeper, the final tally would have been well into double-figures. And although Bromsgrove deserve some credit for sticking to their task, they simply couldn't live with the Ilkeston FC youngsters on a night when they were very special.
