On Friday April 26th at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess the Women in Sports Expo got underway with a banquet.
The guest speaker for the evening was Former American Professional Women's Basketball player Lisa Leslie.
Noticeably absent though on the night was all but one other media which really highlights the significant fact the Women in Sports getting less and less coverage.
Leslie was introduced to the stage by Bermuda National Athletics Association President Donna Watson who is also the head of the organizing committee for the Expo.
Leslie said, “It is such a blessing to be in Bermuda for this event, she also said she will be spreading the word about the beautiful island of Bermuda."
