The 2013 Bermuda International Invitational Race Week is underway as racing takes place in the Great Sound. Five Fleets have taken to the waters with two of the Fleets coming to an end.
Comet Class
Stephen Dickinson and Pat Young will lift the Comet Class Spring Series Trophy during the Presentation, this after he won the six race Fleet with 5 points, Dickinson and Young won five of the six races sailed, finishing second to Dimitri Stevens and his crew Tremaine Bean who finished second overall with 11 points and Rockal Evans and his crew Christine Bernard finished third overall with 13 points.
Chase Cooper sailed to victory in the Optimist Gold Fleet, after sailing 11 races Cooper finished with 25 Net Points, winning four races and finishing second twice. Benn Smith finished second with 28 points and Matilda Nicholls finished third with 33 points.
Jay Hall won the Silver Fleet with 11 Net Points, this after recording eight wins out of 11 races. Jah Hall finished second with 21 points and Christopher Adderley finished 3rd with 32 points.
Malcolm Smith is currently leading the Laser Fleet with 8 points, Smith won the first race before recording two second place finishes and a third. Brett Wright is in second with 12 points and Sara Lane Adderley is in third with 17 points, Sean Evans is currently in fourth with 20 points which is the same amount of points that Tobin Young has.
William Thompson leads the Fleet with 9 Net Points, Thompson won the first race of the six sailed this far, he also won the fifth race, he has also finished second twice. Mark Watson III is currently in second with 12 points and Tim Patton is in third with 13 points.
Three races have been sailed in the I.O.D A Series with Giles Peckham on top of the table with 5 points after winning races two and three, Bjorn Wahlstrom who won the first race is in second place with 7 points and George Cubbon is currently in third place with 9 points.
Winning races one and six sees Trevor Boyce and Michael Nash lead the Fleet with 8 points after 6 races sailed. Also recording two wins was James MacDonald who is in second place with 9 points and Chuck Milligan is in third with 10 points.
